Yes, darn it, I’m an optomist. (It’s either that or go mad.)
On Monday night, when Joe and I were in the car, talking about the election, the local classical music station was playing the “Ode to Joy.” Joe asked me, “If Kerry wins, should we play this for the neighborhood?”
I said, “This and (another song which for the life of me I can’t remember), on a continuous loop.”
So, I’ve been trying to remember the name of that other song all week. Joe, if you remember, perhaps you can help me out? Anyway, I thought of at least two other songs I’d want to put into that victory party loop: Sting’s “Brand New Day,” and Israel Kamakawiwo’ole’s beautiful “Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World.”
Any other suggestions?
